The Village Hall is available for overnight bunk house style living. It is a great place for Schools and Clubs or other well organised groups wanting a short residential experience in a quiet village close to Lake Windermere. There is wheel chair access to the rear door.

The building was formerly the village school.  The main room can accommodate 16-20 (bring your own mattresses).  If separate sleeping is required, eg for adults or male/female split, the smaller room with the fitted kitchen can sleep around 8.  There are separate male and female toilets and a disabled shower.

The second room has a fitted kitchen with large oven, 6 ring ceramic hob,  fridge with ice compartment, microwave, hand washing sink etc.  There is a good selection of cups, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

There are plenty of tables and padded dining chairs.  The hall is well heated by modern night storage heaters.  Supplementary metered heaters are available, and there is a guarded open fire in the main room.

There is ample space for parking outside. Other facilities include space for a barbeque and a small grassed garden for relaxing. Please note that the village is a very quiet place, and we ask that groups do not make excessive noise outside, especially after 8pm. The yard is not really big enough for team ball games.

Group Accommodation

The hall is set up for residential use. It is ideal for groups wanting a quiet venue close to Lake Windermere. It can sleep upto 20 persons in two rooms and there is space for a few tents.
